From a Guest
IHN has been my home for 80 days. I am truly blessed and so grateful for the friendships I have made.

From a Child
I like the church families that come and take care of us so we won't get hurt. That's why I like the churches in this district and in this network.

From a Volunteer
This was the most rewarding thing we have ever done as a family, and something I've wanted to do for a long time. Thank you!

Learn about our Services.
Family Promise of Greater Toledo seeks to empower families to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, while providing mission opportunities for individuals and religious communities.

Family Promise is about people caring.   Our volunteers are part of a growing, grassroots movement that brings communities of faith together to help homeless families achieve independence and work for permanent solutions.

We work with a maximum of 4 families and 14 people at a time.

In 2007 . . .

  • We provided 3,762 nights of shelter.
  • 11,286 meals were prepared and served.
  • 50% of guest families secured permanent or transitional housing.
  • 67% of guests were children.
  • 100% of school-aged guests continued attending their own school.
  • The average stay was 57 days.
