Family Promise of Greater Toledo seeks to empower
families to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, while providing mission
opportunities for individuals and religious communities.
Family Promise is about people caring. Our volunteers are part of a growing, grassroots
movement that brings communities of faith together to help homeless families
achieve independence and work for permanent solutions.
We work with a maximum of 4 families and 14 people at a time.
In 2007 . . .
We provided 3,762 nights of shelter.
11,286 meals were prepared and served.
50% of guest families secured permanent or transitional housing.
67% of guests were children.
100% of school-aged guests continued attending their own school.
The average stay was 57 days.
